Drop Cloths
Painting can be a messy job. Use drop cloths to cover and protect surfaces you don't want to get paint spatters on. You can't count on light weight plastic to do a good job. Use heavy canvas drop cloths to protect almost everything and they can be used over and over again for years.
You have some choices when choosing a good professional drop cloth, plain canvas or sealed backed canvas. Sealed backed refers to an extra coating applied to the back of the drop cloth for added protection. Two common choices are PVC and butyl, both are nearly identical. PVC backed drop cloths are 100% leak proof and a great choice for floors and exterior use.
